Christos Stergiou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is currently a Candidate PhD in the University of Macedonia and working in the research field of Communications Systems: Algorithms for Big data in Telecommunications and Cloud Computing. Recently, he received a degree in Technology Management in the Department of Applied Informatics, School of Information Sciences from University of Macedonia (Greece). Also, Christos received a degree in Informatics and Computer Engineering from Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia, Annex of Kastoria (Greece), an MSc degree in Wireless Communication Systems from the Department of Technician of Wired and Wireless Networks of Brunel University (UK), and a Certificate of Proficiency for Teachers of Technological Education from School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE), Annex of Thessaloniki (Greece). He is a member of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society since 2017, and also he is a reviewer for “Multimedia Tools and Applications” Journal since 2016. Since October 2015, he was working as a professor of Computer Science in Alfa (former Xinis) Vocational Training Institutes (Greece), and since September 2016 he was working as an IT Administrator in School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE), Annex of Thessaloniki (Greece). Furthermore, he worked as a professor of Computer Science in Vocational Training Institutes of Evosmos, Thessaloniki (Greece), for the academic year 2010-2011. He also worked for 2 years as a computer engineer and Ebay department manager in Alfanet SA (Greece). He additionally has further working experience as a professor and in technical support. He has extensive research, development, and consulting experience in the area of telecommunications technologies. His professional interests are Education, Multimodal Data Communications Systems, Cloud Transmission / Streaming / Synchronisation, Wireless Communication Systems, Evolution of WiMAX Technology, Science Information Network (SINET, Japan), GRNET (Greece)-Okeanos Cloud, IoT, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Evolution of WiMAX technology.
